Continuing teaching and learning in ICT: This session will provide an update on the ICT strand of the secondary strategy, looking at what has been learnt so far and the issues still faced and how they might be tackled. There will be a chance to consider the new testing regime that becomes statutory in 2008 as well as consideration of the progression through key stage 3 into qualifications in ICT.

Wednesday, March 1st, 2006Secondary Strategy Update: ICT across the curriculum: This session will update delegates on the progress made by the national strategy in embedding the use of ICT in the other curriculum areas. It will consider the issues faced in making this a reality and will share some of the plans for future activity. There will also be consideration of the KS2/3 transition obstacles and how these might be tackled.
Clare Johnson - Biography

Clare Johnson has been a teacher, advisory teacher and Adviser for ICT in an LEA. She was an executive member of NAACE and wrote for a number of ICT publications.
She joined QCA in January 1999 and was responsible for the revision of the ICT National Curriculum and the KS3 scheme of work. She has been responsible for the strategic direction, management and implementation of the ICT strand of the secondary strategy for the past four years.
