Mike has been a science teacher, a local authority IT adviser, and now runs an ICT consultancy specialising in developing ICT in schools. He is presently immediate past chair of Naace. He has previously designed educational software - ‘Logicator’ control software is probably the most well known - and does a fair bit of writing. Current projects include collaboration with author John Davitt on ‘New tools for Learning’ and ‘Learner of the Future’, publication of a performance analysis toolbox for schools (4Matrix) (this is the project that really excites him!), and development of an online professional workspace with Ultralab (NaaceSpace). He still work in schools - one primary has just got their ICTmark - and secondary schools - achieving an ICT vision and strategy. Also LAs on use of performance data. He is currently on a QCA Futures group looking at what should be in the new National Curriculum. He really enjoy his work, particularly the privilege of working with talented school colleagues.
